My family and I live in Bothell, WA. My wonderwoman wife of ten years, Gretchen, is a Charge RN on the surgical floor at Seattle Children’s and we have two beautiful daughters Caitlyn and Lauren (& a goofy border collie, Mazie).
I’m a writer and presenter, which includes work as a social media instructor, strategist and consultant in partnership with other social media and online marketing companies in the Seattle area. I am a “creative” with technical know-how.
My current projects include Seattle Indoor Skydiving, where I am serving a part-time development role as communications, PR and social media/community manager: I strategize online presence, manage the website, blog, and the 140 social networking accounts for the company.
Writing: Beyond the blogs for which I write… I am writing a novel called “The Vivid Mile,” about a crew of volunteers aboard a hospital ship who are captured by pirates while in a developing country delivering relief aid.
I am also collaborating on a play called “Limited Characters,” comedy about a woman asked to ghost write for her company’s CEO, creating a huge fan base… before things go horribly wrong.
Another writing project I’m working on is “The Magical Dad.” Somewhat in stasis, as I work out details with another published author whose idea is rather similar.
I have a finished screenplay called “the zeitgeist,” which was written prior to the movie “Zeitgeist” and is an entirely different plot. (I am considering a new title.) For this screenplay I received an award from Seattle International Film Festival in 2002.
My presentation work has of late been training companies, non-profits and associations how to use social media in a practical way. (For consulting articles please visit this link: 123SocialMedia.com).
